The South West Seniors Championship was hosted this year by East Devon Golf Club which despite the heatwave was in excellent condition although with a stiff breeze on both days the hard, bouncy course proved to be a real test for the players with no sub-par round on either day. Everyone was full of praise for the condition of the greens which were fast and true. Devon qualified for the English Seniors' County Championship despite one of their team having to withdraw injured from the second which meant that all five score from the remainder of the team had to count. This success meant that Devon has had a clean sweep in 2013 having also qualified for the Boys' and Men's County Championships
1st and qualifiers were Devon with an aggregate team score of 783. The Team with Devon's President (pictured right) were Paul Vicary (Captain), Philip Lyons, Peter Middleton, Grahame Sanford, Richard Ward and Simon Waddington (missing from picture due to injury).
