The 2023 Seniors Amateur Championships took place at Newquay GC which was presented to the players in tip top condition and being a little fiery made for an even bigger challenge for the competitors.
The first round was played in good spirit and only 4 shots seperated the top 25 players with Dorsets Phil Bill on top with a fine 69. The second round produced some fine scores the best being a 69 from Cornwalls Simon Knowles to put him on 140. This proved to be good as Dorsets Todd Sothcott came home in 70 for a 142 total and with Phil Bill slipping back with a 74 the Seniors Championship went to Simon Knowles.
Congratulations to Simon Knowles winner of the Leonard Lake Trophy and SWCGA Seniors Amateur Champion.
