Somerset won the Sheild with 4 points having won 4 matches and lost 1 with Cornwall second with 3 points beating Gloucestershire by virtue of scoring more Game points. Somerset's Captain Justin Lane is pictured (right) with the sheild and the majority of the team and their President Brian Evans. Those that had played for Somerset during the week were Jamie Clare, Sam Day, Jonathan Grace, Josh Hilleard, Jeremy Larcombe, Robert Parker, Will Poole, Tom Sloman, Tom Small and Matt Turner.
Sam Day from Somerset won the Clifford Burden Trophy with 9 points. Rob MacGregor from Cornwall was a close second with 8.5 points.

In a wild stormy day only 18 holes were possible, with several periods of suspension, over 13.5 hours. Cornwall's Tom Fox (pictured right) from China Fleet was the Championship winner a 5 under 68 Second was Sam Day (Mendip) from Somerset with 70 and third on count back was Jamie Claire (Burnham & Berrow) from Somerset 71.
Somerset's Jamie Clare (pictured right) from Burnham & Berrow won the Youths Championship with 71 on countback from Gloucestershire's Jamie Dick 71 from Forest Hills.
The Cornwall team qualified for the England Men's County Finals to be played at Royal North Devon Golf Club from 26th to 28th September by winning the Qualifier for the first time since 1997 with an aggregate score over 18 holes of 482. Gloucestershire and Devon were second on 448 with Somerset fourth 455 Dorset fifth 460 and Wiltshire last with 465.
