INTER-COUNTY TEAM MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP

SOMERSET retained the shield, winning all five of their matches.

CLIFFORD BURDEN TROPHY

Josh Hilleard (Somerset) won the Clifford Burden Trophy with Nine points.

Jamie Clare (Somerset) and Andy Hale (Gloucestershire) tied second with eight points each.

SOUTH WESTERN AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

On a fine, but, breezy day, Thomas Robson (Dorset) and Alister Balcombe (Somerset) ended the 36 holes tied on 139. 

A four hole play-off over the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 18th holes resulted in Thomas Robson (pictured right) taking the Amateur Championship.

YOUTHS CHAMPIONSHIP

Alister Balcombe (Somerset) won the Youths Championship with his score of 139, securing a two shot victory over Josh Hilleard (Somerset) on 141.

SOUTH WEST GROUP QUALIFYING COMPETITION FOR THE ENGLAND MEN'S COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS

The Somerset team qualified for the England Men's County Finals to be played at Wychwood Park Golf Club from 25th to 27th September.

Devon ended just one shot behind on 885 with Gloucestershire a further shot behind on 886.

Wiltshire finished fourth on 902 with Cornwall fifth on 907. Dorset trailed with 931.

The winning team members were: Jamie Clare, Jonathan Grace, Josh Hilleard, Will Poole, Tom Sloman and Phil White
