Boys Under 16 & Under 14 Championship

Honiton Golf Club, Devon

This year's Championship, by rotation was hosted by Devon at Honiton Golf Club. The course was in excellent condition and the Club Captain(Julian Philips), made everyone very welcome when he spoke at the prize giving as did all the Club Staff.  

TEAM TROPHY

With the format of 7 out of 9 scores counting Wiltshire (pictures here with the trophy) won the David King Salver with the team of James Cooper, Oliver Jeans, Harry Moule, Joe Retford, Freddie Titcombe, Tomas Stagg, Dominic Walter, Lewis Ward & Max Wrixon with an aggregate score 543. Dorset were second with 552, Devon third on 554, Cornwall 4th on 562, Gloucestershire 5th on 576 & Somerset 6th with 589.

INDIVIDUAL TROPHIES

U14 CHAMPIONSHIP

James Reed from Devon (pictured right) won the Ray Lawford Trophy with a gross 75.

Alex Johnston Dorset (pictured right) won the Ian Clark Trophy for the best nett with 69 on count-back and Samuel Trott from Dorset was second with a 69.

U16 CHAMPIONSHIP

James Cooper from Wiltshire was the U16 Champion and overall winner with a gross 72 winning the Eric Scott Cooper Cotswold Ram (pictured below with Rob Payne (Captain) of Cotswold Hills Golf Club). Second Harrison King of Devon with 72 and third was Tom Stagg (Wiltshire) also with 72.
